Some dishes don't just feed you — they remind you of someone. Sambhar (our Comfort Bowl Sambhar) is one of them. And if you're someone who's forced to cook but loves to eat, it's as easy as 2-minute noodles.

Make it — as easy as 2-minute noodles
You'll need: 1 pack of Sambhar · 800ml Water | 20g or 2 spoons Chopped coriander | 50g or 1 small Drumstick, diced evenly | 20g or 1 Baby potato, diced evenly | 30g Pumpkin, diced evenly | 20g or 5-6 Sambar onions | 40g or half an onion, sliced evenly | 40g or half a tomato, chopped
- Wash and soak the Dal for 10-15 minutes (optional but recommended)
- In a pressure cooker, add the Dal and 500ml water
- Pressure cook for 15 minutes or until 3 whistles
- Once cool, open the pressure cooker and blend the dal mixture to a smooth consistency
- Cut the vegetables (pumpkin, potatoes, drumsticks) into cubes. Boil them, along with the sambar onions, separately in 500ml water until they are cooked but still firm.
- Add the cooked dal and Magic Mixx (from the packet) to the boiled vegetables (retaining the boiled water)
- Simmer the sambhar for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Add fresh corainder for garnish
- Tip: Adjust consistency to your liking by adding hot water
👩🍳 Chef's tip: Serve your sambhar hot with steamed rice or soft idlis, and a side of crispy papad for added crunch. You can also add a side of fresh coconut chutney for a complete meal!
