Dhansak — as easy as 2-minute noodles

“The first place to listen is food.”

Some dishes don't just feed you — they remind you of someone. Dhansak (our Comfort Bowl Dhansak) is one of them. And if you're someone who's forced to cook but loves to eat, it's as easy as 2-minute noodles.

💭 Does this remind you of something? A kitchen, a person, a rainy evening, a first bite. Tell us your memory — we read every one.

Happy food is healthy food

We don't split the two. The taste and the goodness are the same thing. You are what you eat.

Naturally in it: Omega-3 (ALA) (from Mustard Seeds) · Iron (from Fenugreek Leaves (Methi)).

Per 100g: 2.50g protein · 5.50g fibre · 75 kcal.

The spices you'll smell: Sugar, White (neutral), Sendha Namak (neutral), Amchur (tart, mango-fruity), Kala Namak (pungent sulphur (rotten-egg)), Cumin (toasty, warm, earthy).

Make it — as easy as 2-minute noodles

⏱ 35 min  ·  🍽 serves 2  ·  🧑‍🍳 Forced to Cook (Easy)

You'll need: 1 pack of Dhansak · 300ml Water | 15g or 2 spoons Ghee | 20g or 2 spoons Chopped coriander | 2g Methi leaves | 10g or 5-6 Spinach leaves | 1g Mint leaves | 100g or 1 small potato, diced | 60g or 1 small onion, diced | 2g or 1/2 spoon of garlic, minced

  1. Wash and soak the Dal mix for 10-15 minutes (optional but recommended)
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked Dal Mix with the vegetables, garlic, spinach, mint leaves, methi leaves, water, and the Magic Mixx.
  3. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles, or until the mixture is fully cooked and soft. Let the pressure release naturally.
  4. Hand blend the contents to form a smooth and consistent mixture
  5. In a small fry pan add the ghee and chopped coriander, to make a flavourful tadka
  6. Drizzle the tadka over the dhansak and stir well
  7. Serve hot in an attractive bowl
  8. Optional : Make and add your own creative tadka with lots of love
  9. Tip: Adjust consistency to your liking by adding hot water.

👩‍🍳 Chef's tip: Serve the Dhansak hot, accompanied by a side of pav or bread balance the flavors. For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle a little ghee on top before serving.
