“The first place to listen is food.”
Some dishes don't just feed you — they remind you of someone. Bharma (our Bharma Mirchi with Barma Magic) is one of them. And if you're someone who's forced to cook but loves to eat, it's as easy as 2-minute noodles.
Turns out, families across India have trusted Bharma the same way for generations. Most people never stop to ask why it works. They just make it before they’ve decided anything else, and reach for it again after a long day. Then they make it again the next week, without thinking twice. It comes together from 4 real ingredients, and the truth is it’s real comfort, plate after plate. It’s also a genuinely stunning bit of chemistry — supporting digestion and nourishing an ordinary meal. You can try it this weekend instead of ordering in. Tag us when you do — we repost our favourites every week.

Make it — as easy as 2-minute noodles
You'll need: 1 pack of Bharma · 70g or 2 Bharma Mirchi | 25g store bought Tomato Pure | 10g or 1 spoon of Ghee | 20g or 2 spoons Chopped Coriander.
- Wash and dry the mirchi on a clean cloth.
- Slit the sides of the mirchi deep but not deep enough to cut through the mirchi.
- In a pan, add 1 spoon of ghee and the tomato puree and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 50g of the Magic Mixx masala and saute for 3-4 minutes. Once done, keep aside to cool.
- Fill the masala evenly inside the slit mirchis.
- In a pan add 2 spoons and ghee and cook the mirchi for 10-15 minutes or until soft.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve in a bowl.
👩🍳 Chef's tip: Serve the bharma mirchi with hot parathas and a side of salad.
