Some dishes don't just feed you — they remind you of someone. Spicy Sambhar (our Magic Spicy Sambar) is one of them. And if you're someone who's forced to cook but loves to eat, it's as easy as 2-minute noodles.

Make it — as easy as 2-minute noodles
You'll need: 1 pack of Spicy Sambhar · 50g Toor Dal | 800ml Water | 15g or 2 spoons Ghee | 20g or 2 spoons Chopped coriander | 50g or 1 small Drumstick, diced evenly | 20g or 1 Baby potato, diced evenly | 30g Pumpkin, diced evenly | 20g or 5-6 Sambar onions | 40g or half an onion, sliced evenly | 40g or half a tomato, chopped
- Wash and soak the Dal for 10-15 minutes (optional but recommended)
- In a pressure cooker, add the Dal and 500ml water
- Pressure cook for 15 minutes or until 3 whistles
- Once cool, open the pressure cooker and blend the dal mixture to a smooth consistency
- In a pan heat ghee and cook the sliced onions till brown
- Add chopped tomato and cook till it becomes soft
- Add the remaining 300ml water, 20g Magic Mixx (from the packet) and the vegetables and boil till the vegetables are soft, but firm
- Add the cooked dal and cook further
- Simmer the sambhar for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- In a pan heat ghee and coriander for a flavorful tadka and add it to the sambar
- Optional: Add your own creative tadka with extra love and flavor!
- Tip: Adjust consistency to your liking by adding hot water
👩🍳 Chef's tip: Serve your sambhar hot with steamed rice or soft idlis, and a side of crispy papad for added crunch.
