Jain version — no onion, no garlic, and no root/underground vegetables (potato, carrot, radish, beetroot). A pinch of hing (asafoetida) gives depth. | Serve the bharma mirchi with hot parathas and a side of salad.
🍴 Recipe
- Jain version — no onion, no garlic, and no root/underground vegetables (potato, carrot, radish, beetroot). A pinch of hing (asafoetida) gives depth.
- Wash and dry the mirchi on a clean cloth
- Slit the sides of the mirchi deep but not deep enough to cut through the mirchi
- In a pan, add 1 spoon of ghee and the tomato puree and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 50g of the Magic Mixx masala and saute for 3-4 minutes. Once done, keep aside to cool
- Fill the masala evenly inside the slit mirchis
- In a pan add 2 spoons and ghee and cook the mirchi for 10-15 minutes or until soft
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve in a bowl
