This Butter Paneer Makhani Biryani combines the luxurious, creamy flavors of Makhani sauce with the aromatic spices of biryani, creating a rich and indulgent dish that’s perfect for special occasions.

🍴 Recipe
  1. Boil, peel, and grind 300g tomatoes into a smooth puree.
  2. Heat a little oil or butter in a pan, add the tomato puree, and cook until thickened.
  3. Stir in 10g of Butter Paneer Magic Mix, blending well with the tomato base.
  4. Add 125g of fresh cream and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  5. Lightly fry the paneer cubes in a pan with a little oil or ghee until golden on all sides. Set aside.
  6. Rinse basmati rice and soak for 20 minutes, then drain.
  7. Add the soaked rice, 2 cups of water, and salt. Cook until rice is about 80% done. Drain and set aside.
  8. In a heavy-bottomed pot or biryani dish, add a thin layer of Makhani sauce at the bottom. Top with a layer of rice.
  9. Spread half of the paneer cubes and pour more Makhani sauce over them. Sprinkle with fried onions, chopped coriander, and mint.
  10. Add another layer of rice, then top with remaining paneer and Makhani sauce, garnishing with more fried onions, coriander, and mint.
  11. Drizzle saffron milk over the top layer for added aroma and color (optional).
  12. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid. Cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  13. If needed, place a flat pan under the pot to prevent direct heat and steam for even cooking.
  14. Garnish with additional fried onions, coriander, and mint leaves.
